Useful Websites

I've been learning a lot about myself after I graduated. I haven't been focused too much on my personal development but now I see so many things I need to improve on when I started working. I feel like I know nothing and I have horrible communication skills. I feel like I'm stunted and can be capable of doing things that a high school kid can do. Do you ever get that feeling? I know I have the potential to do more. I want to do big things. I want to feel fulfilled.

I'm working very hard to not have this take over my life.

For one, I'm using this blog as a journey of self development. Perhaps you can probably find some things that you can apply to your life as well.

Websites that are useful and could apply to the work environment:

Vocabulary.com

Definitely a good website to use on a daily basis to expand your vocabulary. Try to use some of the words in real life and in writing--I am going to start doing that! Impress everyone you know with your new words that you learned. Learning is fun! Trust me, you'll know what it will be like after you are done with school. I felt like a blob and my mind is just.. mush when you aren't learning.

Did you know titivate means to spruce up? Isn't that a weird word? o_0

I gotta learn NOW before I go through senility. Senility is when you lose memory due to old age. Yeah I'm in my early twenties but not for long until I hit my thirties.. then forties.. time slips away.

Edx.org

Free high quality courses, you can't say no to that. I think this beats those courses that you pay thousands of dollars and you don't learn crap. haha. Maybe the only thing good came out of it was the social aspect I guess and even that I didn't care about... Anywho, these courses are amazing because they are taught by professors from Harvard and all those prestigious universities. I'm currently taking CS class, it's kind of tough! I'm struggling with the first assignment but lifes a struggle right? But I gotta say, its really fun watching this guy. Makes things fun with the latest pop music and all those cartoons. You know me and my pop music, I just can't get away from it! ;)

Udemy.com
I have a love and hate relationship with this one. In particular with the HTML course, I don't know about the other courses. But I just can never find that file he's talking about and I can't really see the coding--too small!! But its really good otherwise.. I mean he lectures and then he brings you to the projects. I do recommend you typing the code yourself though and not just copy and paste like he said. In real life, they don't want you to copy and paste.. you need to hand code!!

I can go on and on. But I'm going to save that for later! I just write, write and write. Oh boy.

That's all folks!

Stay tuned for another post on what I've been doing in real life as well.. not just in front of the computer.
